Node Directory

Allstar Node Directory

If you know a user’s node number then you can connect to them directly, and these node to node connections are one of the more useful features of Allstar. However be advised that such links are not completely private, but it would be rare for another user to listen in.

Many Allstar QSOs take place on what are known as hubs, these are really just nodes which are robust enough to accommodate many users at the same time, one hundred or more connections are not unusual on some hubs. Some hubs also have bridges and links to other systems such as Echolink or DMR.

It is my intention to establish an easily accessible Allstar Hub Directory featuring some of the more active hubs on the system, please feel free to contact me with additions.

 1. FreeSTAR Network. Currently my favorite hub. You can connect on 53375 but check out their website at www.freestar.network for a clearer understanding of their many connections and philosophy.

 2. East Coast Reflector – 27339, 45192 and 45225. This is a large active Allstar system, I have had quite a few QSOs on it and have met with nothing but courtesy and friendliness. More information via their website: LINK

3. Hawaiian Hub – 42616

4. Philadelphia Hub – 27225 – You typically find around 40 to fifty nodes and repeaters connected to this hub, so it is not the busiest hub on Allstar by any manner of means. However, what sets this hub apart is that it is the home of Doug Crompton { WA3DSP } who of course is the force behind Hamvoip as well as being the person managing the hub. Not surprisingly this is a good place to find technical information, not only from Doug himself but the other knowledgable regulars on the system. The hub is located in Richboro, Bucks County, PA.

5. VK6 Hub – 42732 – This hub can be connected into using either Allstar, DMR or Echolink. Check their website for more information: https://vk6rx.net/vk6-hub-node-42732/

6. Wan System – 2135

7. Win System – 2560
